COMMISSIONER OF VALUATION (SUBSTITUTE) ACT, 1937.
Definitions.
1.—In this Act—
the expression “the Minister” means the Minister for Finance;
the expression “the Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Valuation.
Appointment of substitute for the Commissioner.
2.—(1) Whenever the Minister is satisfied that the Commissioner is temporarily unable, owing to physical or mental ill-health, absence from Saorstát Eireann, or any other cause, to discharge the duties of his office, it shall be lawful for the Minister to appoint a fit and proper person to discharge the duties of the Commissioner during such inability.
(2) Every person appointed under this section to discharge the duties of the Commissioner shall, during the inability of the Commissioner on account of which such person was so appointed, have, exercise, and perform all the jurisdictions, powers, and duties for the time being conferred or imposed on the Commissioner by statute or otherwise.
Short title and commencement.
3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Commissioner of Valuation (Substitute) Act, 1937.
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on and to have had effect as on and from the 15th day of July, 1937.
