Forléiriú.
1.—(1) San Acht seo ciallaíonn “an tOrdú” Ordú Sealadach Chathair Bhaile Atha Cliath (Tórainn a Leathnú), 1953, arna dhaingniú ag Acht ón Oireachtas.
(2) Forléireofar an tAcht seo agus na hAchta Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Atha Cliath), 1930 go 1945, mar aon ní amháin.

2.—An fhaid a leanfas an duine a bheas i seilbh oifige choróinéara an Chontae le linn tosach feidhme an Orduithe seo de bheith i seilbh na hoifige sin, leanfaidh a límistéir dlínse amhail is nár tháinig an tOrdú i bhfeidhm ach, ar an duine sin a scor toisc é d'éag nó ar chúis eíle, de bheith i seilbh na hoifige sin, déanfar an méid sin den límistéir sin a folaítear sa chathair leis an Ordú a bhaint de límistéir dlínse choróinéara an chontae agus cuirfear é le límistéir dlínse choróinéara na cathrach agus beidh sé folaithe sa límistéir sin feasta.

3.—An fhaid a leanfas an duine a bheas i seilbh oifige shirriaim an chontae le linn tosach feidhme an Orduithe de bheith i seilbh na hoifige sin, leanfaidh a límistéir dlínse amhail is nár tháinig an tOrdú i bhfeidhm ach, ar an duine sin a scor toisc é d'éag nó ar chúis eile, de bheith i seilbh na hoifige sin, déanfar an méid sin den limistéir sin a folaítear sa chathair leis an Ordú a bhaint de límistéir dlínse shirriaim an Chontae agus cuirfear é le límistéir dlínse shirriaim na cathrach agus beidh sé folaithe sa limistéir sin feasta.

4.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Atha Cliath) (Leasú), 1953, a ghairm den Acht seo.
(2) Féadfar na hAchta Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Atha Cliath), 1930 go 1953, a ghairm de na hAchta Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Atha Cliath), 1930 go 1945, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1953.
Construction.
1.—(1) In this Act “the Order” means the City of Dublin (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1953, as confirmed by Act of the Oireachtas.
(2) This Act shall be construed as one with the Local Government (Dublin) Acts, 1930 to 1945.
Area of jurisdiction of coroner of county Dublin.
2.—So long as the person who at the commencement of the Order holds the office of coroner of the county continues to hold that office, his area of jurisdiction shall continue as if the Order had not come into force but, upon his ceasing by death or otherwise to hold that office, so much of that area as is included in the city by the Order shall be detached from the area of jurisdiction of the coroner of the county and be added to and thenceforward included in the area of jurisdiction of the coroner of the city.

3.—So long as the person who at the commencement of the Order holds the office of sheriff of the county continues to hold that office, his area of jurisdiction shall continue as if the Order had not come into force but, upon his ceasing by death or otherwise to hold that office, so much of that area as is included in the city by the Order shall be detached from the area of jurisdiction of the sheriff of the county and be added to and thenceforward included in the area of jurisdiction of the sheriff of the city.
Short title and collective citation.
4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Dublin) (Amendment) Act, 1953.
(2) The Local Government (Dublin) Acts, 1930 to 1945, and this Act may be cited together as the Local Government (Dublin) Acts, 1930 to 1953.
