AGUS DE BHRÍ go bhfuil beartuithe le rún ag Dáil Éireann, leis, agus go bhfuil forálta aca le hAirtiogal 60 san go ndéanfar soláthar oiriúnach as an gciste puiblí roimh-ráite chun tigh comhnuithe agus teaghlachas oifigiúil Sheanascail Shaorstáit Éireann do choinneáil suas:
AGUS DE BHRÍ go bhfuil sé oiriúnach socrú speisialta do dhéanamh chun go n-íocfaí as an gciste puiblí roimh-ráite do réir Airtiogail 60 sin, tuarastal Seanascail Shaorstáit Éireann agus costas a thigh comhnuithe agus a theaghlachas oifigiúil do choinneáil suas:
AGUS DE BHRÍ gurb é méid an tuarastail a bhí iníoctha le Seanascal na hAstráile le linn do Bhun-reacht Shaorstáit Éireann teacht i bhfeidhm ná £10,000 sa mbliain:
ACHTUIGHEADH OIREACHTAS SHAORSTÁIT ÉIREANN AR AN ÁBHAR SAN MAR LEANAS:—
Íocfar £10,000 sa mbliain leis an Seanascal.
1.—Déanfar ón séú lá de mhí na Nodlag, 1922, suim dheich míle púnt sa mbliain do chur mar mhuirear ar Phrímh-Chiste Shaorstáit Éireann no a thora fáis agus d'íoc as in íocaíochtanna co-ionannacha ráithiúla mar thuarastal don té a bheidh ina Sheanascal de Shaorstát Éireann de thuras na huaire faid a bheidh gach Seanascal den tsórt san i seilbh na hoifige sin.
Tigh comhnuithe agus teaghlachas oifigiúil do choinneáil suas.
2.—Íocfaidh an t-Aire Airgid as airgead a sholáthróidh an t-Oireachtas pé suim bhliantúil no suim eile no pé suimeanna bliantúla no suimeanna eile a chinnfidh an t-Aire Airgid ó am go ham a bheith 'na soláthar oiriúnach chun tigh comhnuithe agus teaghlachas oifigiúil Sheanascail Shaorstáit Éireann do choinneáil suas ón 6adh lá de Mhí na Nodlag, 1922.

GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S SALARY AND ESTABLISHMENT ACT, 1923.
AND WHEREAS Dáil Eireann has also resolved and by the said Article 60 provided that suitable provision shall be made out of the public funds aforesaid for the maintenance of the official residence and establishment of the Governor-General of the Irish Free State:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that specific provision should be made for the payment out of the public funds aforesaid of the salary of the Governor-General of the Irish Free State and the maintenance of his official residence and establishment pursuant to the said Article 60:
AND WHEREAS the amount of the salary which, at the date of the coming into operation of the Constitution of Saorstát Eireann, was payable to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia was the yearly sum of £10,000:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—
Payment of £10,000 yearly to the Governor-General.
1.—The yearly sum of ten thousand pounds commencing on the sixth day of December, 1922, shall be charged upon and payable by equal quarterly payments out of the Central Fund of Saorstát Eireann or the growing produce thereof to the Governor-General for the time being of the Irish Free State, by way of salary so long as every such Governor-General shall continue to hold that office.
Maintenance of official residence and establishment.
2.—There shall be paid by the Minister for Finance out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas such yearly or other sum or sums as the Minister for Finance may from time to time determine to be suitable provision for the maintenance as from the 6th day of December, 1922, of the official residence and establishment of the Governor-General of the Irish Free State.
Short Title.
3.—This Act may be cited as the Governor-General's Salary and Establishment Act, 1923.
