Fo-alt (4) d'alt 8 den Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, dá leasú maidir le daoine áirithe d'imeacht as an Stát le linn na tréimhse práinne.

1.—(1) I gcás—

(a) duine d'imeacht as an Stát (pé aca roimh dháta an Achta so do rith no dá éis sin é) le haghaidh fostaíochta le linn na tréimhse práinne, agus

(b) an duine sin d'fhilleadh ar an Stát tráth ar bith nach déanaighe ná dhá mhí dhéag tar éis deire na tréimhse práinne,

ansan, chó fada agus a bhainfidh le haon éileamh ar shochar dhíomhaointis a dhéanfa sé tar éis dáta an Achta so do rith, ní tabharfar áird ar aon bhliain árachais, a thosnuigh no thosnóidh tar éis an 3adh lá de Mheán Fhómhair, 1939, agus a raibh no a mbeidh sé as láthair ón Stát ar a feadh go léir no ar feadh coda ar bith dhi agus nár híocadh no ná híocfar aon tsíntiús ina thaobh lena linn, maidir le fo-alt (4) d'alt 8 den Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, arna leasú leis an Acht um Arachas Díomhaointis, 1926 (Uimh. 21 de 1926), do bhaint leis an duine sin.

(2) San alt so cialluíonn an abairt “an tréimhse phráinne” an tréimhse do thosnuigh ar dháta an Achta Comhachta Práinne, 1939 (Uimh. 28 de 1939), do rith agus a chríochnóidh ar dháta an Achta san do dhul in éag.

2.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht um Arachas Díomhaointis, 1943, do ghairm den Acht so.

(2) Léireofar mar éinní amháin an tAcht so agus na hAehtanna um Arachas Díomhaointis, 1920 go 1941, agus féadfar na hAchtanna um Arachas Díomhaointis, 1920 go 1943, do ghairm de na hAchtanna san agus den Acht so le chéile.

UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ACT, 1943.

Amendment of sub-section (4) of section 8 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, in respect of certain persons leaving the State during the emergency period.

1.—(1) Where—

(a) a person has (whether before or after the passing of this Act) left the State for employment during the emergency period, and

(b) such person has returned to the State at any time not later than twelve months after the expiration of the emergency period,

then, so far as relates to any claim for unemployment benefit made by him after the date of the passing of this Act, any insurance year commencing subsequent to the 3rd day of September, 1939, during the whole or any part of which he is absent from the State and during which no contribution is paid in respect of him shall be disregarded in the application to him of sub-section (4) of section 8 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, as amended by the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1926 (No. 21 of 1926).

(2) In this section, the expression “the emergency period” means the period which commenced on the date of the passing of the Emergency Powers Act, 1939 (No. 28 of 1939), and ends on the expiration of the said Act.

Short title, construction and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1943.

(2) This Act shall be construed as one with the Unemployment Insurance Acts, 1920 to 1941, and those Acts and this Act may be cited together as the Unemployment Insurance Acts, 1920 to 1943.
