1.—Leasaítear leis seo alt 3 den Acht Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Átha Cliath), 1945—

(a) tríd an bhfo-alt seo a leanas a chur isteach i ndiaidh fho-alt (1):

“(1A) Is seanóirí a bheidh i cibé líon a shonrófar chuige sin in ordú faoin alt seo de chomhaltaí chomhairle na cathrach a thoghfar de réir an ordaithe do thoghlimistéar agus is comhairleoirí a bheidh sna comhaltaí eile den sórt sin.”; agus

(b) trí fho-alt (5) a scriosadh.

2.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Átha Cliath), 1967, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar na hAchtanna Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Átha Cliath), 1930 go 1967, a ghairm de na hAchta Rialtais Áitiúil (Baile Átha Cliath), 1930 go 1955, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) ACT, 1967

Amendment of section 3 of Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1945.

1.—Section 3 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1945, is hereby amended—

(a) by the insertion of the following subsection after subsection (1):

“(1A) Of the members of the city council who in accordance with an order under this section are elected for an electoral area, such number as is specified for that purpose in the order shall be aldermen and the others shall be councillors.”; and

(b) by the deletion of subsection (5).

Short title and Collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1967.

(2) The Local Government (Dublin) Acts, 1930 to 1955, and this Act may be cited together as the Local Government (Dublin) Acts, 1930 to 1967.
