AN tACHT RÓD-CHISTE (DEONTAIS AGUS AIRLEACAIN) (FORÁLACHA SEALADACHA), 1959.

Léiriú.
1.—San Acht seo—
ciallaíonn “an tAire” an tAire Airgeadais ;
ciallaíonn “blianta airgeadais lena mbaineann an tAcht seo” an chúig bhliain airgeadais chomhleanúnach arb í an chéad bhliain acu an bhliain airgeadais dar críoch an 31ú lá de Mhárta, 1960.
Deontais don Ród-Chiste.
2.—Féadfaidh an tAire, gach ceann de na blianta airgeadais lena mbaineann an tAcht seo, deontas nach mó ná dhá chéad míle punt a dheonú don Ród-Chiste as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas.
Airleacain don Ród-chiste.
3.—(1) Féadfaidh an tAire, gach ceann de na blianta airgeadais lena mbaineann an tAcht seo, airleacan nach mó ná dhá chéad míle punt a thabhairt don Ród-Chiste as an bPríomhchiste nó a thoradh fáis.
(2) Na suimeanna go léir a airleacfar faoin alt seo, maraon le hús orthu de réir an ráta a shocróidh an tAire, muirearófar sin ar an Ród-Chiste agus beidh sin iníoctha as an gciste sin ar an modh a ordóidh an tAire.
Cumhacht chun airgead a fháil ar iasacht.
4.—(1) Chun soláthar a dhéanamh le haghaidh airleacan as an bPríomhchiste faoin bhfo-alt roimhe seo, féadfaidh an tAire aon suim nó suimeanna a fháil ar iasacht ó dhuine ar bith, agus chun an céanna a fháil ar iasacht féadfaidh sé urrúis a chruthú agus a eisiúint agus iad faoi cibé ráta úis agus faoi réir cibé coinníollacha i dtaobh aisíoca, fuascailte nó eile, is oiriúnach leis, agus íocfaidh sé isteach sa Stát-Chiste an t-airgead a gheofar ar iasacht amhlaidh.
(2) Beidh príomhshuim agus ús aon urrús a eiseofar faoin alt seo agus aon chaiteachas faoina rachfar i ndáil leis na hurrúis sin a eisiúint ina mhuirear ar, agus iníoctha as, an bPríomhchiste nó a thoradh fáis.

ROAD FUND (GRANTS AND ADVANCES) (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1959.
Interpretation.
1.—In this Act—
“the Minister” means the Minister for Finance;
“financial years in relation to which this Act applies” means the five consecutive financial years the first of which is the financial year ending on the 31st day of March, 1960.
Grants to Road Fund.
2.—The Minister may, in each of the financial years in relation to which this Act applies, make to the Road Fund a grant not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas.
Advances to Road Fund.
3.—(1) The Minister may, in each of the financial years in relation to which this Act applies, make to the Road Fund an advance not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof.
(2) All sums advanced under this section, together with interest thereon at the rate fixed by the Minister, shall be charged on the Road Fund and shall be payable out of that Fund in the manner directed by the Minister.
Power to borrow.
4.—(1) For the purpose of providing for advances out of the Central Fund under the foregoing section, the Minister may borrow from any person any sum or sums, and for the purpose of such
borrowing he may create and issue securities bearing such rate of interest and subject to such conditions as to repayment, redemption or any other matter as he thinks fit, and shall pay the moneys so borrowed into the Exchequer.
(2) The principal of and interest on any securities issued under this section and any expenses incurred in connection with the issue of such securities shall be charged on and payable out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof.
Short title.
5.—This Act may be cited as the Road Fund (Grants and Advances) (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1959.
