1.—San Acht so cialluíonn an abairt “An Príomh-Acht” an tAcht Dréineála Airtéirighe, 1925 (Uimh. 33 de 1925).

An Príomh-Acht do chur i mbaint le contae-bhuirgí.

2.—(1) Bainfidh an Príomh-Acht le contae-bhuirg agus le comhairle chontae-bhuirge fé mar a bhaineann sé le contae agus le comhairle chontae.

(2) Nuair a beifear ag cur an Phríomh-Achta i mbaint le contaebhuirg agus le comhairle chontae-bhuirge déanfar na tagairtí ann do chontae, do chomhairle chontae, do rúnaí chomhairle chontae, do shuirbheur chontae, agus do chiste chontae do léiriú fé seach mar thagairtí do chontae-bhuirg, do chomhairle chontae-bhuirge, do bhaile-chléireach chontae-bhuirge, do shuirbheur bhuirge no neachtar acu do phrímh-innealtóir chontae-bhuirge, agus don chiste bhuirge, agus ní bhainfidh an tagairt do mhuirear ar an gcontae iomlán leis an scéal.

ARTERIAL DRAINAGE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1929.

AN ACT TO EXTEND THE PROVISIONS OF THE ARTERIAL DRAINAGE ACT, 1925, TO COUNTY BOROUGHS. [11th July, 1929.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— [GA]

Definition.

1.—In this Act the expression “The Principal Act” means the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925 (No. 33 of 1925).

Application of Principal Act to county boroughs.

2.—(1) The Principal Act shall apply to a county borough and to the council of a county borough in like manner as it applies to a county and a council of a county.

(2) In the application of the Principal Act to a county borough and to the council of a county borough references therein to a county, county council, secretary of a county council, county surveyor, and county fund shall respectively be construed as references to a county borough, a council of a county borough, town clerk of a county borough, borough surveyor or other the chief engineer of a county borough, and the borough fund, and the reference to a county-at-large charge shall not apply.

Short title and citation.

3.—This Act may be cited as the Arterial Drainage (Amendment) Act, 1929, and the Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Arterial Drainage Acts, 1925 and 1929.
