ACHT UM ÁRACHAS SLÁINTE NÁISIÚNTA, 1928.
Airgead do sholáthar don Chiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin.
1.—(1) Cuirfar—
(a) i gcoinnibh ciste sochair gach cumainn cheaduithe suim chúig pingne in aghaidh gach baill (nách saighdiúir ar seirbhís) den chumann cheaduithe sin; agus
(b) i gcoinnibh Ciste Arachais na bhFórsaí Mileata (Socruithe Idirnáisiúnta) suim chúig pingne in aghaidh gach baill (nách saighdiúir ar seirbhís) den chiste sin; agus
(c) i gcoinnibh Ciste na Síntiúsairí Taisce suim chúig pingne in aghaidh gach baill den chiste sin; agus
(d) i gcoinnibh Ciste na nDaoine Saora suim dhá phingin go leith in aghaidh gach baill den chiste sin.
(2) Na suimeanna iomdha a horduítear leis an bhfo-alt san roimhe seo a chur i gcoinnibh ciste sochair gach cumainn cheaduithe, Ciste Arachais na bhFórsaí Mileata (Socruithe Idirnáisiúnta), Ciste na Síntiúsairí Taisce agus Ciste na nDaoine Saora fé seach, cuirfear iad chun creidiúna don Chiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin.
(3) Chun na suimeanna iomlána a bheidh le cur i gcoinnibh aon chiste fén alt so d'áireamh, déanfar lán-uimhir na mball (nách saighdiúirí ar seirbhís) de chumann no de chiste d'áireamh i pé slí a ordóidh Coimisinéirí Arachais na hÉireann.
(4) Cuirfar chun creidiúna don Chiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas pé suimeanna a bheidh, i dteanta na suimeanna a cuirfar chun creidiúna don Chiste sin fé sna forálacha san roimhe seo den alt so, dóthanach chun na suimeanna d'íoc a horduítear leis an Acht so a íoc amach as an gCiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin.
Suimeanna a híocfar amach as an gCiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin.
2.—Íocfar amach as an gCiste Liaigh-Dheimhniúcháin—
(a) pé suimeanna i gcóir na bliana 1928 a shocróidh Coimisinéirí Arachais na hÉireann, le cead ón Aire Airgid, a bheith iníoctha le dochtúiri leighis i gcóir liaigh-dheimhniúcháin, agus
(b) pé suim is gá chun íoc do dhéanamh i gcostas ath-bharúia leagha d'fháil an ladh lá d'Eanair, 1928, agus as san go dtí an 31adh lá de Mhí na Nodlag, 1928, tré dhochtúirí réitigh fén scéim a bhunuigh Coimisinéirí Arachais na hÉireann chuige sin le cead ón Aire Airgid.

3.—Leanfidh alt 27 (alt a bhaineas le cad déanfar le suimeanna neamh-éilithe i gCuntas Díolacháin na Stampaí) den Acht um Arachas Sláinte Náisiúnta, 1923 (Uimh. 20 de 1923), i bhfeidhm go dtí an 31adh lá de Mhí na Nodlag, 1928.
Tosach feidhme, gearr-theideal agus léiriú.
4.—(1) Tuigfar an tAcht so do theacht i ngníomh an ladh lá d'Eanair, 1928, agus beidh sé i bhfeidhm agus beidh éifeacht aige an lá san agus ón lá san amach.
(2) Féadfar an tAcht um Arachas Sláinte Náisiúnta, 1928, do ghairm den Acht so agus léireofar é mar éinní amhain leis na hAchtanna um Arachas Sláinte Náisiúnta, 1911 go 1927.
(3) Féadfar na hAchtanna um Arachas Sláinte Náisiúnta, 1911 go 1927, agus an tAcht so do luadh le chéile mar na hAchtanna um Arachas Sláinte Náisiúnta, 1911 go 1928.

NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE ACT, 1928.
Provisions of funds for Medical Certification Fund.
1.—(1) There shall be debited—
(a) to the benefit fund of every approved society the sum of five pence in respect of each member (not being a serving soldier) of that approved society; and
(b) to the Military Forces (International Arrangements) Insurance Fund the sum of five pence in respect of each member (not being a serving soldier) of that fund; and
(c) to the Deposit Contributors' Fund the sum of five pence in respect of each member of that fund; and
(d) to the Exempt Persons' Fund the sum of two pence and one halfpenny in respect of each member of that Fund.
(2) The several sums directed by the foregoing sub-section to be debited to the benefit fund of every approved society, the Military Forces (International Arrangements) Insurance Fund, the Deposit Contributors' Fund and the Exempt Persons' Fund respectively shall be credited to the Medical Certification Fund.
(3) For the purpose of calculating the total sums to be debited to any fund under this section the total number of members (not being serving soldiers) of a society or fund shall be calculated in such manner as the Irish Insurance Commissioners shall direct.
(4) There shall be credited to the Medical Certification Fund out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas such sums as, together with the sums to be credited to the said fund under the foregoing provisions of this section, shall be sufficient to meet the sums directed by this Act to be paid out of the Medical Certification Fund.
Sums to be paid out of Medical Certification Fund.
2.—There shall be paid out of the Medical Certification Fund—
(a) such sums in respect of the year 1928 as the Irish Insurance Commissioners with the approval of the Minister for Finance may determine to be payable to medical practitioners for medical certification, and
(b) such sum as may be required to meet the cost of obtaining second medical opinions on and from the 1st day of January, 1928, to the 31st day of December, 1928, through the medium of medical referees under the scheme established for that purpose by the Irish Insurance Commissioners with the approval of the Minister for Finance.
Extension of section 27 of National Health Insurance Act, 1923.
3.—Section 27 (which relates to the application of sums unclaimed in the Stamp Sales Account) of the National Health Insurance Act, 1923 (No. 20 of 1923), shall continue in force until the 31st day of December, 1928.
Commencement, short title and construction.
4.—(1) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on and shall be in force and have effect as on and from the 1st day of January, 1928.
(2) This Act may be cited as the National Health Insurance Act, 1928, and shall be construed as one with the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1927.
(3) The National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1927, and this Act may be cited together as the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1928.
