1.—Leasaítear leis seo alt 46 d'Acht na gCúirteanna (Forálacha Forlíontacha), 1961, le héifeacht ón lú lá d'Fheabhra, 1964, trí na fo-ailt seo a leanas a chur in ionad fho-ailt (1), (2) agus (3) (a cuireadh isteach le hAcht na gCúirteanna (Forálacha Forlíontacha), 1962):

“(1) Íocfar le breithiúna ar leith na Cúirte Uachtaraí agus na hArd-Chúirte an tuarastal seo a leanas—

(a) leis an bPríomh-Bhreitheamh suim £6,360 sa bhliain,

(b) le hUachtarán na hArd-Chúirte agus le gach duine de ghnáthbhreithiúna na Cúirte Uachtaraí suim £4,950 sa bhliain,

(c) le gach duine de ghnáthbhreithiúna na hArd-Chúirte suim £4,400 sa bhliain.

(2) Íocfar le breithiúna ar leith na Cúirte Cuarda an tuarastal seo a leanas—

(a) le hUachtarán na Cúirte Cuarda suim £4,400 sa bhliain,

(b) le gach duine de ghnáthbhreithiúna na Cúirte Cuarda suim £3,640 sa bhliain.

(3) Íocfar le breithiúna ar leith na Cúirte Dúiche an tuarastal seo a leanas—

(a) le hUachtarán na Cúirte Dúiche suim £3,190 sa bhliain,

(b) le gach Ard-Bhreitheamh do Dhúiche Chathrach Bhaile Átha Cliath suim £2,855 sa bhliain,

(c) le gach breitheamh eile den Chúirt Dúiche a bheidh de thuras na huaire buansannta do Dhúiche Chathrach Bhaile Átha Cliath suim £2,690 sa bhliain,

(d) leis an mbreitheamh den Chúirt Dúiche a bheidh de thuras na huaire buansannta don dúiche chúirte dúiche arb é atá ann, nó a n-áirítear ann, Contae-Bhuirg Chorcaí suim £2,690 sa bhliain,

(e) le gach breitheamh eile den Chúirt Dúiche suim £2,520 sa bhliain.”

2.—(1) Féadfar Acht na gCúirteanna (Forálacha Forlíontacha) (Leasú), 1964, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar Achtanna na gCúirteanna (Forálacha Forlíontacha), 1961 go 1964, a ghairm d'Achtanna na gCúirteanna (Forálacha Forlíontacha), 1961 agus 1962, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

COURTS (SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1964

Amendment of section 46 of Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961.

1.—Section 46 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961, is hereby amended, with effect as from the 1st day of February, 1964, by the substitution of the following subsections for subsections (1), (2) and (3) (inserted by the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1962):

“(1) There shall be paid to the several judges of the Supreme Court and of the High Court the following remuneration—

(a) to the Chief Justice the sum of £6,360 a year,

(b) to the President of the High Court and to each of the ordinary judges of the Supreme Court the sum of £4,950 a year,

(c) to each of the ordinary judges of the High Court the sum of £4,400 a year.

(2) There shall be paid to the several judges of the Circuit Court the following remuneration—

(a) to the President of the Circuit Court the sum of £4,400 a year,

(b) to each of the ordinary judges of the Circuit Court the sum of £3,640 a year.

(3) There shall be paid to the several justices of the District Court the following remuneration—

(a) to the President of the District Court the sum of £3,190 a year,

(b) to each Principal Justice of the Dublin Metropolitan District the sum of £2,855 a year,

(c) to each other justice of the District Court who is for the time being permanently assigned to the Dublin Metropolitan District the sum of £2,690 a year,

(d) to the justice of the District Court who is for the time being permanently assigned to the district court district which comprises or includes the County Borough of Cork the sum of £2,690 a year,

(e) to each other justice of the District Court the sum of £2,520 a year.”

Short title and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) (Amendment) Act, 1964.

(2) The Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Acts, 1961 and 1962, and this Act may be cited together as the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Acts, 1961 to 1964.
