1.—San Acht so cialluíonn an focal “an Príomh-Acht” an tAcht Ghárda Síochána (Aitribh do Sholáthar), 1923 (Uimh. 24 de 1923).

2.—Athghairmtear Alt 4 den Phríomh-Acht leis seo agus ina ionad san achtuítear leis seo go mbeidh infheidhmithe go dtí an 16adh lá d'Iúl, 1925, agus go dtí san amháin, agus fé réir forálacha eile an Phríomh-Achta, an chomacht chun áitribh do thógaint, maraon leis na fo-chomhachta a ghabhann léi, a bronnadh ar Choimisinéirí na nOibreacha Puiblí in Éirinn leis an bPríomh-Acht.

3.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht Ghárda Síochána (Aitribh do Sholáthar) (Leasú), 1924, do ghairm den Acht so.

(2) Léireofar an tAcht so mar éinní amháin leis an bPríomh-Acht, agus féadfar na hAchtanna Ghárda Síochána (Aitribh do Sholáthar), 1923 agus 1924, do ghairm den Acht so agus den Phríomh-Acht le chéile.

CIVIC GUARD (ACQUISITION OF PREMISES) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1924.

Meaning of Principal Act.

1.—In this Act the expression “the Principal Act” means the Civic Guard (Acquisition of Premises) Act, 1923 (No. 24 of 1923).

Duration of Principal Act.

2.—Section 4 of the Principal Act is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof it is hereby enacted that the power of acquiring premises and the powers ancillary thereto conferred on the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland by the Principal Act shall, subject to the other provisions of the Principal Act, be exercisable until the 16th day of July, 1925, and no longer.

Short title and construction.

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Civic Guard (Acquisition of Premises) (Amendment) Act, 1924.

(2) This Act shall be construed as one with the Principal Act, and this Act and the Principal Act may be cited together as the Civic Guard (Acquisition of Premises) Acts, 1923 and 1924.
