ACHT LEICTREACHAIS (AIRGEAD), 1929.

1.—(1) Leasuítear, leis seo, fo-alt (4) d'alt 11 d'Acht Leictreachais na Sionainne, 1925 (Uimh. 26 de 1925), tré sna focail “ach amháin ar pé méid de sna roimh-íocanna san (ach gan san do dhul thar suim chéad is dhá mhíle thriochad, ceithre chéad agus caoga punt) a caithfear le feabhsú loingseoireachta fé sna comhachta a bronntar, chuige sin, ar an Aire leis an Acht so” do chur isteach ag deire an fho-ailt sin.
(2) Leasuítear, leis seo, fo-alt (5) d'alt 11 d'Acht Leictreachais na Sionainne, 1925, tré sna focail “chúig milleon, dhá chéad agus deich míle punt” atá anois sa bhfo-alt san do scriosa amach, agus na focail “chúig milleon, ocht gcéad agus cúig mhíle, triochad punt” do chur isteach in ionad na bhfocal a scriostar amach amhlaidh.
2.—Léireofar alt 12 den Acht Leictreachais (Soláthar), 1927 (Uimh. 27 de 1927), agus beidh éifeacht aige fé is dá gcuirtí an fo-alt so leanas isteach san alt san in ionad fo-alt (2) atá anois ann, sé sin le rá:—
“(2) Na suimeanna a roimh-íocfar leis an mBord fén alt so chun glanta an fhiachais a bheidh ar an mBord fen Acht so ar scór úis agus riaráiste úis ar shuimeanna do roimhíocadh amach as an bPrímh-Chiste fé Acht Leictreachais na Sionainne, 1925 (Uimh. 26 de 1925), leis an gciste fé leith do bunuíodh fé alt 11 den Acht san agus ar scór na gcostaisí fé n-a raghaidh an Bord chun oibreacha na Sionainne d'oibriú, do chimeád i dtreo agus do dheisiú fén Acht so, ní raghaidh a méid iomlán thar suim chéad agus sé mhíle caogad punt.”
3.—(1) In ainneoin éinní atá in alt 15 den Acht Leictreachais (Soláthar), 1927 (Uimh. 27 de 1927), ní bheidh Bord Soláthair an Leictreachais fé aon fhreagarthacht aisíoc do dhéanamh leis an Aire Airgid i pé méid de sna suimeanna (ná raghaidh thar suim chéad is dhá mhíle thriochad, ceithre chéad agus caoga punt) a roimh-íocfar aon uair as an bPrímh-Chiste fé Acht Leictreachais na Sionainne, 1925 (Uimh. 26 de 1925), leis an gciste fé leith do bunuíodh fé alt 11 den Acht san agus a caithfear le feabhsú loingseoireachta fé sna comhachta a bronntar, chuige sin, ar an Aire Tionnscail agus Tráchtála leis an Acht deiridh sin a luaidhtear ná in ús d'íoc leis an Aire Airgid ar an méid sin adubhradh de sna suimeanna san a roimh-íocfar amhlaidh.
(2) Pé áit ina bhfuil an abairt “na roimh-íocanna san” in alt 15 den Acht Leictreachais (Soláthar), 1927, léireofar í mar abairt ná foluíonn aon tsuimeanna 'na scaoileann an t-alt so Bord Soláthair an Leictreachais ó fhreagarthacht ina n-aisíoc.

ELECTRICITY (FINANCE) ACT, 1929.
Amendment of section 11 of the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925.
1.—(1) Sub-section (4) of section 11 of the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925 (No. 26 of 1925), is hereby amended by the insertion at the end of the said sub-section of the words”except on so much of such advances (but not exceeding the sum of one hundred and thirty-two thousand, four hundred and fifty pounds) as is expended on the improvement of navigation under the powers in that behalf conferred on the Minister by this Act.”
(2) Sub-section (5) of section 11 of the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925, is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “five millions, two hundred and ten thousand pounds” now contained therein and the insertion in lieu of the words so deleted of the words “five millions, eight hundred and thirty-five thousand pounds.”
Amendment of section 12 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927.
2.—Section 12 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927 (No. 27 of 1927), shall be construed and have effect as if the following sub-section were inserted therein in lieu of sub-section (2) now contained therein, that is to say:—
“(2) The total amount of the sums advanced to the Board under this section to meet the liability of the Board under this Act in respect of interest and arrears of interest on sums advanced out of the Central Fund under the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925 (No. 26 of 1925), to the separate fund established under section 11 of that Act and the expenses incurred by the Board in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Shannon works under this Act shall not exceed the sum of one hundred and fifty-six thousand pounds.”
Amendment of section 15 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927.
3.—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 15 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927 (No. 27 of 1927), the Electricity Supply Board shall not be under any liability to repay to the Minister for Finance so much (not exceeding the sum of one hundred and thirty-two thousand, four hundred and fifty pounds) of the sums advanced at any time out of the Central Fund under the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925 (No. 26 of 1925), to the separate fund established under section 11 of that Act as is expended on the improvement of navigation under the powers in that behalf conferred on the Minister for Industry and Commerce by the last-mentioned Act or to pay interest to the Minister for Finance on so much as aforesaid of the said sums so advanced.
(2) The expression “the said advances” where the same occurs in section 15 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927, shall be construed as not including any sums for the repayment of which the Electricity Supply Board is relieved of liability by this section.
Short title.
4.—This Act may be cited as the Electricity (Finance) Act, 1929.
