1.—Déantar leis seo an Dara Sceideal (ina bhfuil forálacha idirlinne) a ghabhann le hAcht na bPaitinní, 1964, a leasú tríd an mír seo a leanas a chur isteach i ndiaidh mhír 4:

“4A. I gcás ina ndearnadh, maidir le paitinn, sonraíocht iomlán a ghlacadh roimh thosach feidhme an Achta seo, leanfaidh an coinníoll a ghabhann le fo-alt (1) d'alt 55 d'Acht 1927 d'fheidhm a bheith aige maidir le caingean mar gheall ar an bpaitinn a shárú, d'ainneoin an t-alt sin a aisghairm leis an Acht seo.”

2.—(1) Féadfar Acht na bPaitinní (Leasú), 1966, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar Achtanna na bPaitinní, 1964 agus 1966, a ghairm d'Acht na bPaitinní, 1964, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

PATENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1966

Amendment of Second Schedule to Patents Act, 1964.

1.—The Second Schedule (which contains transitional provisions) to the Patents Act, 1964, is hereby amended by the insertion after paragraph 4 of the following paragraph:

“4A. Where, in relation to a patent, a complete specification has been accepted before the commencement of this Act, the proviso to subsection (1) of section 55 of the Act of 1927 shall continue to apply in relation to an action for the infringement of the patent notwithstanding the repeal thereof by this Act.”

Short title and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Patents (Amendment) Act, 1966.

(2) The Patents Act, 1964, and this Act may be cited together as the Patents Acts, 1964 and 1966.
