AN tACHT CAIPITIL TEILEAFÓIN, 1973

Eisiúint bhreise chun an córas teileafónach a fhorbairt.

1.—I dteannta an airgid a údaraítear leis na hAchtanna Caipitil Teileafóin, 1924 go 1969, féadfaidh an tAire Airgeadais cibé suimeanna, nach mó san iomlán ná céad seachtó is cúig mhilliún punt, a bhí nó a bheidh ag teastáil ón Aire Poist agus Telegrafa chun an córas teileafónach poiblí a fhorbairt de réir mheastacháin arna gceadú ag an Aire Airgeadais a eisiúint as an bPríomh-Chiste nó a thoradh fáis.

Féadfaidh an tAire Airgeadais iasacht a fháil chun críocha an Achta seo.

2.—(1) Chun airgead a sholáthar i gcóir na suimeanna a údaraítear leis an Acht seo a eisiúint as an bPríomh-Chiste nó chun airgead a sholáthar chun gach suim nó aon suim a eiseofar as an bPríomh-Chiste faoi údarás an Achta seo a aisíoc leis an gCiste sin, féadfaidh an tAire Airgeadais suimeanna a bheidh ag teastáil a fháil ar iasacht agus féadfaidh sé chun na críche sin iad seo a leanas a bhunú agus a eisiúint—

(a) blianachtaí infhoirceanta a rithfidh ar feadh cibé tréimhse is oiriúnach leis tar éis dó dul i gcomhairle leis an Aire Poist agus Telegrafa,

(b) aon urrúis eile a bheidh faoi cibé ráta úis agus faoi réir cibé coinníollacha i dtaobh aisíoca nó fuascailte nó eile is oiriúnach leis.

(2) Íocfar isteach sa Státchiste an t-airgead go léir a gheofar ar iasacht faoin alt seo.

(3) Is ar an bPríomh-Chiste nó a thoradh fáis a bheidh muirear príomhshuime agus úis aon urrús a eiseofar faoi fho-alt (1) (b) den alt seo agus muirear na gcaiteachas i ndáil leis na hurrúis sin a eisiúint.

(4) Íocfar as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas:

(a) íocaíochtaí i leith blianachtaí infhoirceanta a bunaíodh faoin alt seo,

(b) aisíocaíochtaí leis an bPríomh-Chiste ar shuimeanna a íocadh as an gcéanna i leith príomhshuim, ús nó caiteachas a muirearaíodh faoi fho-alt (3) den alt seo.

3.—Déantar alt 3 den Acht Capitail Thelefóin, 1927, agus alt 4 den Acht sin arna leasú le halt 3 (2) den Acht Caipitil Teileafóin, 1963, a chorprú leis an Acht seo.

Gearrtheideal agus comhlua.

4.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht Caipitil Teileafóin, 1973, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar na hAchtanna Caipitil Teileafóin, 1924 go 1973, a ghairm de na hAchtanna Caipitil Teileafóin, 1924 go 1969, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

TELEPHONE CAPITAL ACT, 1973

Further issue for development of telephonic system.

1.—In addition to the moneys authorised by the Telephone Capital Acts, 1924 to 1969, the Minister for Finance may issue out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof such sums not exceeding in the whole the sum of one hundred and seventy five million pounds as have been or may be required by the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs for the purposes of developing the public telephonic system according to estimates approved by the Minister for Finance.

Minister for Finance may borrow for the purposes of this Act.

2.—(1) For the purposes of providing money for the sums by this Act authorised to be issued out of the Central Fund or of providing money for the repayment to the Central Fund of all or any sums issued thereout under the authority of this Act, the Minister for Finance may borrow sums required and for that purpose may create and issue—

(a) terminable annuities extending over such period as after consultation with the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, he thinks fit,

(b) any other securities bearing such rate of interest and subject to such conditions as to repayment, redemption or otherwise as he thinks fit.

(2) All moneys borrowed under this section shall be paid into the Exchequer.

(3) The principal and interest of any securities issued under subsection (1) (b) of this section and the expenses in connection with the issue of such securities shall be charged on the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof.

(4) There shall be made out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas:

(a) payments in respect of terminable annuities created under this section,

(b) repayments to the Central Fund of amounts paid thereout in respect of principal, interest or expenses charged under subsection (3) of this section.

Incorporation of sections 3 and 4 of the Telephone Capital Act, 1927.

3.—Section 3 of the Telephone Capital Act, 1927, and section 4 of that Act as amended by section 3 (2) of the Telephone Capital Act, 1963, are incorporated with this Act.

Short title and collective citation.

4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Telephone Capital Act, 1973.

(2) The Telephone Capital Acts, 1924 to 1969, and this Act may be cited together as the Telephone Capital Acts, 1924 to 1973.
