Tuarastal an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste a mhéadú.
1.—Méadófar go dtí dhá mhíle ceithre chéad punt sa bhliain an tuarastal is iníoctha leis an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste faoi fho-alt (1) d'alt 2 d'Acht an Ard-Scrúdóra, 1923 (Uimh. 1 de 1923), arna leasú le halt 2 d'Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1947 (Uimh. 19 de 1947.)
Dámhachtaint aoisliúntais don duine a bhí ina Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste an 1ú Aibreán, 1953.
2.—Más rud é, i gcás an duine a bhí ina Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste an lú lá d'Aibreán, 1953, go ndeonfar, de bhuaidh fo-ailt (1) d'alt 2 d'Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1944 (Uimh. 19 de 1944), dámhachtaint faoi na hAchta Aoisliúntas, 1834 go 1947, is do réir an tuarastail a ceaptar le halt 1 den Acht seo a déanfar, d'ainneoin aon ní sna hAchta sin, aon ríomh chun críocha na dámhachtana.

3.—(1) Féadfar Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1953, a ghairm den Acht seo.
(2) Measfar an tAcht seo a theacht i ngníomh an lú lá d'Aibreán, 1953, agus beidh éifeacht aige amhail ar an lá sin agus ón lá sin amach.
(3) Féadfar Achta an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste, 1923 go 1953, a ghairm d'Achta an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste, 1923 go 1947, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

COMPTROLLER AND AUDITOR GENERAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1953.
Increase of salary of Comptroller and Auditor General.
1.—The salary payable to the Comptroller and Auditor General under subsection (1) of section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor-General Act, 1923 (No. 1 of 1923), as amended by section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1947 (No. 19 of 1947), shall be increased to two thousand four hundred pounds per annum.
Superannuation award to person who was Comptroller and Auditor General on 1st April, 1953.
2.—Where, in the case of the person who was Comptroller and Auditor General on the 1st day of April, 1953, an award under the Superannuation Acts, 1834 to 1947, is granted by virtue of subsection (1) of section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1944 (No. 19 of 1944), any computation for the purposes of the award shall, notwithstanding anything contained in those Acts, be upon the salary appointed by section 1 of this Act.
Short title, commencement and collective citation.
3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1953.
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on, and shall have effect as on and from, the 1st day of April, 1953.
(3) The Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1947, and this Act may be cited together as the Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1953.
