ACHT AN OIREACHTAIS (BAILL D'ÍOC) (LEASÚ), 1925.
Saoirse o cháin ioncuim.
1.—(1) Na liúntaisí is iníoctha le baill den Oireachtas fé fho-alt (1) d'alt 2 d'Acht an Oireachtais (Baill d'Ioc), 1923 (Uimh. 18 de 1923), beid agus tuigfar go rabhdar riamh saor o cháin ioncuim (maraon le barra-cháin) agus ní háireofar iad nuair a beifar ag áireamh ioncuim chun crícheanna na nAchtanna Cánach Ioncuim.
(2) An tuarastal is iníoctha de thurus na huaire le ball den Oireachtas de bhua é bheith i seilbh aon oifige dá luaidhtear i bhfo-alt (2) den alt san 2 den Acht san, oiread de agus is có-ionann leis an liúntas a bheadh iníoctha leis an mball san fé fho-alt (1) den alt san dá mba ná beadh sé i seilbh na hoifige sin, beidh sé agus tuigfar go raibh sé riamh saor o cháin ioncuim (maraon le barra-cháin) agus ní háireofar é nuair a beifar ag áireamh ioncuim chun crícheanna na nAchtanna Cánach Ioncuim.
(3) Má íoc éinne cáin ioncuim no barra-cháin thar mar a bheadh air d'íoc dá mbeadh an t-alt so i bhfeidhm beidh sé i dteideal aisíoc na breise leis ar chruthú na ndátán chun sástacht na gCoimisinéirí Speisialta.
Leigint saor o chur-ar-fionnraí no luíodú ar phinsin.
2.—(1) Aon fhoráil atá in aon Reacht Briotáineach no in aon Acht den Oireachtas a ritheadh roimhe seo no (mara n-achtuítear a mhalairt ann go soiléir) a rithfar ina dhiaidh seo, agus tré n-ar féidir aon phinsean is iníoctha amach as airgead puiblí do chur ar fionnraí no do luíodú, i bpáirt no go hiomlán, i gcás an pinsinéir do bheith ag fáil íocaíocht (pé ainm do bheadh ortha sa Reacht no san Acht san) as airgead do sholáthruigh no a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas, ní bhainfe sí leis na liúntaisí is iníoctha le baill den Oireachtas fé fho-alt (1) d'alt 2 d'Acht an Oireachtais (Baill d'Ioc), 1923 (Uimh. 18 de 1923), ná ní déanfar aon phinsean den tsórt san do chur ar fionnraí ná do luíodú ar scór ná a los aon liúntais den tsórt san.
(2) Ní bhainfidh aon fhoráil den tsórt a luaidhtear sa bhfo-alt san roimhe seo, ná ní tuigfar gur bhain sí riamh, leis an méid sin, den tuarastal is iníoctha de thurus na huaire le ball den Oireachtas de bhua é bheith i seilbh aon oifige dá luaidhtear i bhfo-alt (2) den alt san 2 den Acht san, an méid sin de is có-ionann leis an liúntas do bheadh iníoctha leis an mball san fé fho-alt (1) den alt san dá mba ná beadh sé i seilbh na hoifige sin, ná ní déanfar, ná ní tuigfar gur dineadh riamh, aon phinsean is iníoctha amach as airgead puiblí do chur ar fionnraí ná do luíodú ar scór ná a los an méid sin roimhráite d'aon tuarastal den tsórt san.
(3) San alt so cialluíonn agus foluíonn an focal “airgead puiblí” an Prímh-Chiste agus airgead do sholáthruigh an tOireachtas.

Exemption from income tax.
1.—(1) The allowances payable to members of the Oireachtas under sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Oireachtas (Payment of Members) Act, 1923 (No. 18 of 1923) shall be and shall be deemed always to have been exempt from income tax (including super-tax) and shall not be reckoned in computing income for the purposes of the Income Tax Acts.
(2) So much of the salary for the time being payable to a member of the Oireachtas by virtue of his holding any of the offices mentioned in sub-section (2) of the said section 2 of the said Act as is equal to the allowance which would be payable to such member under sub-section (1) of the said section if he did not hold such office shall be and shall be deemed always to have been exempt from income tax (including super-tax) and shall not be reckoned in computing income for the purposes of the Income Tax Acts.
(3) If any person has paid income tax or super-tax of an amount exceeding that which he would have been liable to pay if this section had been in force he shall on proof of the facts to the satisfaction of the Special Commissioners be entitled to repayment of the excess.
Relief from suspension or abatement of pensions.
2.—(1) No provision in any British Statute or in any Act of the Oireachtas heretofore passed or (unless the contrary is expressly enacted therein) to be hereafter passed whereby any pension payable out of public moneys is liable to be suspended or abated, wholly or in part, in the event of the pensioner being in receipt of payments (by whatever name called in such Statute or Act) out of moneys provided or to be provided by the Oireachtas shall apply to the allowances payable to members of the Oireachtas under sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Oireachtas (Payment of Members) Act, 1923 (No. 18 of 1923), nor shall any such pension be suspended or abated in respect or on account of any such allowance.
(2) No such provision as is mentioned in the foregoing sub-section shall apply or be deemed ever to have applied to so much of the salary for the time being payable to a member of the Oireachtas by virtue of his holding any of the offices mentioned in sub-section (2) of the said section 2 of the said Act as is equal to the allowance which would be payable to such member under sub-section (1) of the said section if he did not hold such office, nor shall any pension payable out of public moneys be or be deemed ever to have been suspended or abated in respect or on account of so much as aforesaid of any such salary.
(3) In this section the expression “public moneys” means and includes the Central Fund and moneys provided by the Oireachtas.
Short title.
3.—This Act may be cited as the Oireachtas (Payment of Members) (Amendment) Act, 1925.
