AN tACHT RADIO-THELEGRAFAÍOCHTA, 1956.

An Príomh-Acht.

1.—San Acht seo ciallaíonn “an Príomh-Acht” an tAcht Radio-Thelegrafaíochta, 1926 (Uimh. 45 de 1926).

Alt 5 den Phríomh-Acht a leasú.

2.—Leasaítear leis seo alt 5 den Phríomh-Acht tríd an bhfo-alt seo a leanas a chur isteach i ndiaidh fo-ailt (1):

“(1A) Chun críocha an Achta seo agus aon rialachán faoi alt 6 den Acht seo, measfar feithicil í féin a bheith ina háit ar deighilt agus ar leithligh ón áitreabh ina gcoimeádtar an fheithicil sin de ghnáth, agus déanfar an focal ‘áit’ agus an abairt ‘áit áirithe’ d'fhorléiriú dá réir sin san Acht seo agus in aon rialacháin den tsórt sin.”

Feidhm chúlghabhálach agus bailíocht chúlghabhálach.

3.—Measfar alt 2 den Acht seo a theacht i ngníomh díreach tar éis tosach feidhme an Phríomh-Achta, agus dá réir sin beidh—

(a) aon rialacháin a rinneadh roimh an Acht seo a rith agus a cumadh mar rialacháin faoi alt 6 den Phríomh-Acht nó faoi fho-alt (1) den alt sin,

(b) aon cheadúnais a heisíodh roimh an Acht seo a rith agus a cumadh mar cheadúnais arna n-eisiúint faoi réir aon rialachán den tsórt sin, agus

(c) bailiú agus íoc aon táillí a híocadh i leith aon cheadúnas den tsórt sin,

agus measfar go rabhadar riamh chomh bailí chun gach críche agus dá mba rud é gur tháinig alt 2 den Acht seo i ngníomh díreach tar éis tosach feidhme an Phríomh-Achta.

Gearrtheideal agus comhlua.

4.—(1) Féadfar an tAcht Radio-Thelegrafaíochta, 1956, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar na hAchta Radio-Thelegrafaíochta, 1926 agus 1956, a ghairm den Phríomh-Acht agus den Acht seo le chéile.

WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY ACT, 1956.

Principal Act.

1.—In this Act “the Principal Act” means the Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1926 (No. 45 of 1926).

Amendment of section 5 of Principal Act.

2.—Section 5 of the Principal Act is hereby amended by the insertion after subsection (1) of the following subsection:

“(1A) For the purposes of this Act and any regulations under section 6 of this Act, a vehicle shall itself be deemed to be a place separate and distinct from the premises in which such vehicle is ordinarily kept, and the word ‘place’ and the expression ‘specified place’ shall in this Act and in any such regulations be construed accordingly.”

Retrospective operation and validations.

3.—Section 2 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation immediately after the commencement of the Principal Act and accordingly—

(a) any regulations made before the passing of this Act and framed as regulations under section 6 of the Principal Act or subsection (1) of that section,

(b) any licences issued before the passing of this Act and framed as licences issued subject to any such regulations, and

(c) the collection and payment of any fees paid in respect of any such licences,

shall be, and shall be deemed always to have been, as valid for all purposes as if section 2 of this Act had come into operation immediately after the commencement of the Principal Act.

Short title and collective citation.

4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1956.

(2) The Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Wireless Telegraphy Acts, 1926 and 1956.
