DENTISTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1983

[10th November, 1983]

Extension of period of office of Dental Board.

1.—The term of office of the members of the Dental Board holding office as such members upon the passing of this Act is hereby extended by a period of two years and, accordingly, section 4(1) of the Dentists Act, 1928, is hereby amended, as respects such members, by the substitution of “seven years” for “five years”.

Short title, construction and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1983.

(2) The Dentists Act, 1928, and this Act may be cited together as the Dentists Acts, 1928 and 1983, and shall be construed together as one.

1.—Déantar leis seo téarma oifige chomhaltaí Bhord na bhFiaclóirí a bhí i seilbh oifige mar chomhaltaí den sórt sin ar dháta an Achta seo a rith a fhadú dhá bhliain agus, dá réir sin, leasaítear leis seo alt 4 (1) d'Acht na bhFiaclóirí, 1928, maidir leis na comhaltaí sin, trí “seacht mbliana” a chur in ionad “cúig mblian”.

Gearrtheideal, forléiriú agus comhlua.

2.—(1) Féadfar Acht na bhFiaclóirí (Leasú), 1983, a ghairm den Acht seo.

(2) Féadfar Achtanna na bhFiaclóirí, 1928 agus 1983, a ghairm d'Acht na bhFiaclóirí, 1928 agus den Acht seo le chéile, agus forléireofar iad le chéile mar aon ní amháin.
