ACHT NA dTITHE, 1930.

An Príomh-Acht.

1.—San Acht so cialluíonn an abairt “An Príomh-Acht” Acht na dTithe, 1929 (Uimh. 12 de 1929).

Deontaisí don Chólucht Talmhan do Mháirnéalaigh agus do Shaighdiúirí Eireannacha.

2.—(1) Athghairmtear leis seo an méid d'alt 1 den Phríomh-Acht a achtuíonn ná foluíonn an focal “duine” san Acht san an Cólucht Talmhan do Mháirnéalaigh agus do Shaighdiúirí Eireannacha, agus ina ionad san achtuítear leis seo go bhfoluíonn an focal “duine” sa Phríomh-Acht an Cólucht Talmhan do Mháirnéalaigh agus do Shaighdiúirí Eireannacha agus, fé réir fhorálacha an chéad fho-ailt eile den alt so, go léireofar an Príomh-Acht agus go mbeidh éifeacht aige dá réir sin.

(2) Ní thabharfaidh an tAire aon deontas fén bPríomh-Acht mar a leasuítear leis an Acht so é don Chólucht Talmhan do Mháirnéalaigh agus do Shaighdiúirí Eireannacha maidir le haon tigh gur tosnuíodh ar a thógáil roimh an Acht so do rith.

3.—Leasuítear leis seo fo-alt (2) d'alt 3 den Phríomh-Acht tré sna focail “no sa bhliain airgeadais áitiúil dár críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1932,” do chur isteach ann tar éis na bhfocal “no sa chéad bhliain airgeadais áitiúil ina dhiaidh sin.”

Méid iomlán na ndeontas do mhéadú.

4.—Athghairmtear leis seo fo-alt (4) d'alt 3 den Phríomh-Acht agus ina ionad san achtuítear leis seo nách mó ná suim milleon agus dhá chéad go leith míle púnt a bheidh méid iomlán na ndeontas a deonadh no a deonfar fé alt 3 d'Acht na dTithe, 1925 (Uimh 12 de 1925), mar atá sé leasuithe le halt 3 d'Acht na dTithe, 1928 (Uimh. 31 de 1928), maraon le méid iomlán na ndeontas a deonadh no a deonfar fé alt 3 den Phríomh-Acht.

5.—Leasuítear leis seo an Chéad Sceideal a ghabhann leis an bPríomh-Acht tríd an riail seo leanas do chur isteach ann in ionad riail 4 atá ann anois agus léireofar an Sceideal san agus fós alt 2 den Phríomh-Acht agus beidh éifeacht aca dá réir sin, sé sin le rá:—

“4. Tar éis an 1adh lá d'Abrán, 1929, agus roimh an 1adh lá d'Abrán, 1931, a tosnófar tógáil tighe agus ar no roimh an 31adh lá de Dheire Fomhair, 1931, a críochnófar é no laistigh de pé tréimhse sa bhreis a cheadóidh an tAire in aon chás áirithe ach gan san do bheith níos sia ná ceithre mhí.”

Gearr-theideal, luadh, agus léiriú.

6.—(1) Féadfar Acht na dTithe, 1930, do ghairm den Acht so.

(2) Féadfar Achtanna na dTithe, 1925 go 1930, do ghairm d'Achtanna na dTithe, 1925 agus 1928, den Phríomh-Acht agus den Acht so le chéile.

(3) Féadfar Achtanna na dTithe, 1929 agus 1930, do ghairm den Phríomh-Acht agus den Acht so le chéile.

(4) Léireofar an tAcht so mar éinní amháin leis an bPríomh-Acht.

HOUSING ACT, 1930.

The Principal Act.

1.—In this Act the expression “the Principal Act” means the Housing Act, 1929 (No. 12 of 1929).

Grants to the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust.

2.—(1) So much of section 1 of the Principal Act as enacts that in that Act the word “person” does not include the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust is hereby repealed and in lieu thereof it is hereby enacted that the word “person” in the Principal Act includes the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust and that, subject to the provisions of the next sub-section of this section, the Principal Act shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

(2) No grant shall be made by the Minister under the Principal Act as amended by this Act to the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust in respect of any house the erection of which was begun before the passing of this Act.

Amendment of section 3 of the Principal Act.

3.—Sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Principal Act is hereby amended by the insertion therein, after the words “or in the next subsequent local financial year,” of the words “or in the local financial year ending on the 31st day of March 1932 ”.

Increase of aggregate amount of grants.

4.—Sub-section (4) of section 3 of the Principal Act is hereby repealed and in lieu thereof it is hereby enacted that the aggregate amount of grants made or to be made under section 3 of the Housing Act, 1925 (No. 12 of 1925), as amended by section 3 of the Housing Act, 1928 (No. 31 of 1928), together with the aggregate amount of grants made or to be made under section 3 of the Principal Act shall not exceed the sum of one million, two hundred and fifty thousand pounds.

Period for erection of houses.

5.—The First Schedule to the Principal Act is hereby amended by the insertion therein of the following rule in lieu of rule 4 now contained therein, and the said Schedule and also section 2 of the Principal Act shall be construed and have effect accordingly, that is to say:—

“4. The erection of a house shall have been begun after the 1st day of April, 1929 and before the 1st day of April, 1931 and shall have been completed on or before the 31st day of October, 1931, or within such further period not exceeding four months as the Minister in any particular case may allow.”

Short title, citation, and construction.

6.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Housing Act, 1930.

(2) The Housing Acts, 1925 and 1928, the Principal Act, and this Act may be cited together as the Housing Acts, 1925 to 1930.

(3) The Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Housing Acts, 1929 and 1930.

(4) This Act shall be construed as one with the Principal Act.
