DE BHRÍ go bhfuil na hAchtanna atá luaidhte sa Chéad Sceideal agus sa Dara Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so, sa mhéid go bhfuilid i bhfeidhm i Saorstát Éireann agus sa mhéid gur diombuan a ré, go bhfuilid le dul in eug ar an 31adh lá de Mhí na Nodlag, 1924:

AGUS DE BHRÍ go bhfuil sé oiriúnach na hAchtanna atá luaidhte sa Chéad Sceideal agus sa Dara Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so agus na hachtacháin le n-a leasuítear iad no a dhineann difir dóibh do dhéanamh buan, agus do chimeád beo, fé seach mar a luaidhtear san Acht so:

ACHTUIGHEADH OIREACHTAS SHAORSTáIT ÉIREANN AR AN ÁBHAR SAN MAR LEANAS:—

Na hAchtanna sa Chéad Sceideal do dhéanamh buan.

1.—(1) Déanfar Achtanna buana de sna hAchtanna atá luaidhte sa Chéad Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so, sa mhéid a háirítear sa tríú colún den Sceideal san, agus aon fhoráil atá in aon Acht atá i bhfeidhm ar dháta rithte an Achta so agus a chuireann teora leis an tréimhse a bheidh aon cheann de sna hAchtanna so no aon choda dhíobh i bhfeidhm raghaidh a héifeacht in eug.

(2) Aon achtacháin nár hathghairmeadh agus a dhineann leasú ar na hachtacháin a dintear buan leis an alt so, no a dhineann difir dóibh, déanfar buan iad sa chuma chéanna, sa mhéid gur diombuan a ré, pe'ca táid luaidhte sa Chéad Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so no ná fuilid.

2.—(1) Cimeádfar beo go dtí an 31adh lá de Mhí na Nodlag, 1925, na hAchtanna atá luaidhte sa Dara Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so, sa mhéid a háirítear sa tríú colún den sceideal san, agus raghaid in eug ansan mara gcimeádtar beo níos sia iad.

(2) Aon achtacháin nár hathghairmeadh agus a dhineann leasú ar na hachtacháin a cimeádtar beo leis an alt so, no a dhineann difir dóibh, cimeádfar beo iad sa chuma chéanna, sa mhéid gur diombuan a ré, pe'ca táid luaidhte sa Dara Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht so no ná fuilid.

EXPIRING LAWS ACT, 1924.

AN ACT TO MAKE PERMANENT CERTAIN EXPIRING ENACTMENTS AND TO CONTINUE FOR A LIMITED PERIOD CERTAIN OTHER EXPIRING ENACTMENTS. [20th December, 1924.] WHEREAS the Acts mentioned in the First and Second Schedules to this Act, in so far as they are in force in Saorstát Eireann, and are temporary in their duration, are limited to expire on the 31st day of December, 1924:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Acts mentioned in the First and Second Schedules to this Act, and the enactments amending or affecting the same should be respectively made permanent and continued as in this Act is mentioned:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—

Acts in First Schedule to become permanent.

1.—(1) The Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act shall to the extent specified in the third column of that schedule, become permanent Acts, and any provision in any Act in force at the date of the passing of this Act which limits the period for which any of those Acts or any parts thereof are to remain in operation shall cease to have effect.

(2) Any unrepealed enactments amending or affecting the enactments made permanent by this section shall, in so far as they are temporary in their duration, become permanent in like manner, whether they are mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act or not.

Acts in Second Schedule to be continued.

2.—(1) The Acts mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Act shall, to the extent specified in the third column of that schedule be continued until the 31st day of December, 1925, and shall then expire unless further continued.

(2) Any unrepealed enactments amending or affecting the enactments continued by this section shall, in so far as they are temporary in their duration, be continued in like manner, whether they are mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Act or not.

3.—This Act may be cited as the Expiring Laws Act, 1924.
