1.—Méadófar go dtí dhá mhíle ocht gcéad agus caoga punt sa bhliain an tuarastal is iníoctha leis an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste faoi fho-alt (1) d'alt 2 d'Acht an Ard-Scrúdóra, 1923, arna leasú le halt 2 d'Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1947, agus le halt 1 d'Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1953.
Gearrtheideal, tosach feidhme agus comhlua.
2.—(1) Féadfar Acht an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste (Leasú), 1959, a ghairm den Acht seo.
(2) Measfar an tAcht seo a theacht i ngníomh an 1ú lá d'Eanáir, 1959, agus beidh éifeacht aige amhail ar an agus ón lá sin.
(3) Féadfar Achtanna an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste, 1923 go 1959, a ghairm d'Achtanna an Ard-Reachtaire Cuntas agus Ciste, 1923 go 1953, agus den Acht seo le chéile.

COMPTROLLER AND AUDITOR GENERAL (AMENDMENT)ACT, 1959.
Increase of salary of Comptroller and Auditor General.
1.—The salary payable to the Comptroller and Auditor General under subsection (1) of section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor General Act, 1923, as amended by section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1947, and section 1 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1953, shall be increased to two thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds per annum.
Short title, commencement and collective citation.
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1959.
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on, and shall have effect as on and from, the 1st day of January, 1959.
(3) The Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1953, and this Act may be cited together as the Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1959.
